Tahney Fosdike founded Compass North in 2022, combining her in-house experience and freelance practice in arts writing and gallery/museum communications. She holds a Diploma of Marketing (Swinburne University), Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology (University of Adelaide) and a Master of Art Curatorship (University of Melbourne), and has worked across art and media as Art Editor at The Suburban Review, a journalist at Radio France Internationale, and in communications and programming roles with organisations including Arts Project Australia, the Environmental Film Festival Australia and The National Centre for Environmental Art. In her writing practice, she has reported from the Venice Biennale, Art Basel Paris, and the Melbourne Triennial, with bylines in Artlink, Little White Lies, FAD Mag, Australian Book Review, Art Almanac, and elsewhere. She lives in Paris, France with Enzo.
